You must be a current 5th grade student. The sixth grade is the ideal time to join band!
- Decide if BAND is right for you. The band program in Waxahachie is outstanding in every way and it's a great organization to be a member of. Talk it over with your family. It's okay if you're not completely sure what to play. Look around our website, email the directors if you have questions and talk to older kids you know in band.
- Email us at aseppeler@wisd.org or rcook@wisd.org to schedule and instrument selection appointment. All students must go through this step with the directors in order to join band.
- Watch the videos below of each instrument to hear what they sound like. Choose the three instruments you're most interested in playing. All of the instruments are unique and fun to play!
